Carpool Club Program Rules & Guidelines:
The purpose of the Carpool Club pilot program is to improve mobility for residents in rural areas with limited access to public transit and promote carpooling as a sustainable option. This will help reduce traffic congestion as well as transportation costs for participants. Carpool Club is available to those commuters living in Conestoga, Glen Rock, Holtwood, Seven Valleys, Stewartstown, and Quarryville. Commuters must be commuting to work or a higher education institution, such as a college, university, or post-secondary technical school.
The program will be open to the first 75 commuters who apply, meet the criteria, and agree to the following rules. This pilot program will be available for a 6-month time period.
1. Commuters must be 18 years of age or older.
2. Commuters must be traveling to work or a higher education institution (college, university, or post-secondary technical school) as a student, faculty, or staff.
3. Commuters must download the Commute PA app and complete their profile with valid home address, work address, email address, and phone number.
4. Within the Commute PA app, each commuter must enable the auto-record trips feature, set up their carpool trip, and list the names of their carpool members. (See instructions on how to set up Auto-Record Trips feature.) Once set up, Commute PA will automatically detect and record the carpool trips when they occur.
5. Each round trip carpool ride recorded in Commute PA will earn $2 in Tango Gift Cards. (See details on options available for Tango Gift Cards.)
6. A maximum of 15 round trip carpool rides will be paid out per month, per commuter.
7. Commuters will receive their Tango Gift Card via email at the end of every month for the carpool trips recorded through the auto-record trips feature during that month. (Maximum payout will be $30 per month, per commuter.)
8. Commuters agree to participate in program surveys before, during, and after the 6-month pilot ends.
